I want to renovate my basement into a room, I have this magical place in my head, but I don't know where to start to find ideas? My goal is to build a library / meditation / relaxation room. My plan is to use deep reds and dark woods to make the room have a very warm, mysterious almost scary place to be. I imagine lots of book cases, and wooden cabinets, lush tapestries of red and gold colors. Pillows on the floor etc. Since the goal of the room is to build a place to loung, relax, pray, meditate I want to build it without the berrier of a particular "style" I'd also like to display some neat antiques and hookahs I have. I don't want to have any Witch, Wiccan, pegan, etc symbolism in the furniture.. more like a mix of Turkish, Oriental, Eastern Indian, etc. Finally, here's my question... In my search for furniture and fixtures, WHAT do I search for? (without using keywords like "wiccan, pegan" etc. Thanks for anyone who can point me in the right direction.
