Textiles artists that relate to embellishment?
Hi everyone
i'm doing AS textiles and my topic is embellishment. I have to relate this too other textiles artists and then produce a small sample of their work. So far i've found two artists that i can produce samples from
The problem i'm having is, is that the artists works are very advanced and i'm finding it impossible to produce a sample even close to them
so what i'm asking is if anyone can think of any artists that have simple pieces of work that i can produce similar samples too
ie- applique, free embroidary etc..

William Morris is famous for his wallpaper but he also did quilts and other things if you want to look him up. The link below will show examples of the wallpaper.
When you are doing the sample, don't forget, you don't have to do a large piece - you can take a small portion of the work, blow it up on the computer or photocopier and just do that bit. Trace over it or photocopy it onto (photocopy friendly) acetate.
