How are the restaurants at The Luxor?
That's where I'll be staying during my visit to Vegas, so how are the restaurants? Since it is an Egyptian-themed hotel, I was also wondering whether or not they had an Egyptian restaurant. I'm not looking for a shrimp 'n burger joint with an Anubis statue, I'm looking for authentic Egyptian cuisine.
No, the Luxor is trying to distance itself from its original theme, which is stupid in a pyramid shaped building. I have not been impressed with Luxor's food; Mandalay Bay & MGM are close & offer a better choice. There is no Egyptian or Middle Eastern restaurant in the Luxor. The second link has a list of Middle Eastern restaurants in Vegas. The Marrakech seems to be top rated. Some of the buffets (the Aladdin used to before it changed over) have Egyptian food like couscous, pitas, and falafel on their regular menu. Check the links.
