I don't want to have like bright crayon red hair. I just want to be able to see the red but I want it dark. So I just wanted to dye the black, red to see how it would come out. Any thoughts? Please and thank you.
I just want it to look reddish black. And also, my hair isn't very black it's turning brown, but I don't think it makes a difference.
I'm actually going to dye my hair later on today from black to red. I've tried in the past to just apply the color normally without any bleaching (because bleaching can really damage your hair), but I didn't get the results that I was anticipating for. So, my advice to you would be to go out and purchase some bleaching product from any hair salon like Sally's (Volume 30 or 40), and go ahead and perform a slight test on a piece of hair. Check for any breakage, and if there isn't too much, go ahead and bleach your entire head. One job should do the trick. Then wait a couple days, go purchase a bottle of color, and then dye it. Make sure to shampoo and condition thoroughly between bleaching and coloring, though.
