Medieval 2: Total War random blue-screen of death, worked for months prior?

I've had M2:TW working on my old iMac (through BootCamp) for months and months now, but all of a sudden, without any driver updates, game updates or OS updates it just decided it prefers to glitch for a while then give me a blue-screen of death?!

It comes up with a message saying my x1600's driver is stuck in a loop so my first plan of attack was obviously to upgrade to drivers.

Didn't work

Then I rolled back the drivers to an older version

Didn't work

Anyone have this problem or know a way around it? I'm crying myself to sleep each night!!!!

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes .
