My sister is an interior designer so I usually ask her opinion on things like this, but I'm looking for lots of input and ideas so I'm asking the moms on here.
I want to put a centerpiece on my kitchen table...it looks kind of bare with just the place mats. I thought about buying a small vase and putting something in there. Or a small decorative bowl with something in it.

We have these bronze/brown double stacked tower bowl like things...as well as the matching paper towel holder. There's a basket that also goes in the collection but there's gaps in it so I couldn't potpourri or anything in it.
I'm not sure how big it is. But things like mini pine cones,apples,oranges,pears. Anything that smells nice or in fall colors might be an ideal. You could always use fake fruit if weight is an issue. Also fake or real flower arrangements. I'd go for real flowers if you're entertaining,and fake for the rest of the time.
Other ideas. Tea light or some other light weight candles. Fall foody type scents like cinnamon or apple pie,vanilla maybe. I like food smells!
