Predict the physical characteristics of fresh egg whites as they would appear when subjected to the various mini experiments in this lab.
Tube A- Let stand at room temperature. Measure the temperature. Determine the pH with pH paper.
Tube B - Heat the tube in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
Tube C - Add 2 mL of 1M HCI. Determine the pH of the solution.
Tube D- Add 5 drops of 2% AgNO3 (a salt of the heavy metal silver). If there is no change in the appearance of the albumen, continue to add AgNO3 drop by drop until a change is observed.
