PLZ HELP ME IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY PC?

hi, i do a gow production clan, only a few of us have capture card, im one of them, but i used to have aae photoshop and sony vegas pro 8.0. then a storm came and my house blacked for about 30 seconds, my computer wouldnt turn on so my bro decided to reboot it, none of my programs worked and my usb ports wouldn't work, they would turn on my capture card, nothing that i pluged in would work, so plz can someone tell me how to fix this, my friend told me to clean them with cotton swabs but it didnt work, so if anyone nos anyway to fix it plz tell me!

I have so much sympathy for you.Back in December,there was a one second power cut and it ruined my computer.It was not able to shut down properly in time to reboot and simply just rebooted.The result was that I had a barely working computer.It limped on for two months getting worse and worse and I eventually had to get a new computer.

I suspect the storm has seriously damaged the motherboard. If so,you are probably getting a "blue screen" every time you log on and this is fatal.I would strongly suggest that you get a qualified engineer to look over your computer as a matter of urgency.

Since very little works,it is likely the storm has hit the phone-line power cable and caused a "surge" unless your phone-line was routed via a "surge protection" device.No matter what you will do will have little effect.If anything,rebooting may make matters worse.

Please get an engineer in as a matter of urgency.
