I have a sofa, love seat & chair w/ ottoman trimmed with maple to match the maple end tables, coffee table & sofa table. Cotton fabric in warm colors: bold muted red stripes with mustard,olive,beige detail stripes in between. The set complements my buttercup-yellow walls nicely & has given the living room a cozy feel for the past 3 years, but it's time to freshen up the look. I was thinking of getting new throw pillows and possibly re-covering the seat cushions & back pillows while keeping the striped frames as is - but with a solid? another stripe? a pattern? what fabric? Just buy all slip-covers? I'm really stuck on what to do - HELP.
Have everything re-upholstered in cotton canvas, color off-white. Buy a variety of throw pillows and mix/match fabrics using cotton, silk, velvet..in a variety of muted and bold colors.
