I just bought the Damask Stripe "Merlot" colored comforter from Linens 'n Things (similar to maroon), and I also bought the OFF WHITE/CREAM sheets to go with it. But now I am wondering if just the WHITE sheets would look better with it. I am trying to go for more of a contemporary/trendy type of look. I also don't know which accent colors I should go for.. So basically I am asking: White or Off-White with Maroon bedding.. and which accent colors? Gold? Expresso Brown? Any ideas or personal preferences even would be helpful! Thanks!
I wouldn't go white, but the cream would be pretty. My set is an eggplant color so dark too. I have a set of Grey that look pretty and also a set of bronze. Gold would also work. Also you may be able to find a Burgundy that a little lighter or darker than your set.
