Do any Senior Citizens still enjoy going out Dancing?
When was the last time you put on your dancin' shoes?
It seems I have found a new hobby of ballroom dancing. We went to our 4th ball yesterday afternoon here in Budapest at the community center in our Neighborhood.
It only cost $5. to get in for both of us and the room is just lovely, built in the 1890's and they take special care to put out damask tablecloths and flowers on each table.
I think it was a good way of spending a raniny Thrusday afternoon.
I do have two left feet and only stay up because my husband is holding me in a bear hug but it is still really fun.
We video taped a dance and I can see how stiff I am but learning and trying.
Are there any Senior dances in yor area and do you attend them?
I love dancing. All the adults in my family when I was growing up....danced at family gatherings...taught us to do the same. I danced around the house with my children....and now they do it with their own children.
I think one of the most pleasurable activities is to get dressed up to the nines...and set off for an evening party or wedding that is going to have dancing as entertainment for the function. Even the oldest of gits winds up having as much fun as they had during high school proms.
The dancing sessions at the Senior Centers are always the sessions that draw the most attendance....they are held during the day....and people who are first attendees find themselves discovering that they can learn to dance and have a great time doing it.
Great way to spend time together, too....and to make new friends!
How I admire your stories of how you are making a new life for yourself so far away. BRAVA!!!! GO, GIRL!!!
