My lower back and upper back of my thighs are VERY sore. How do I ease it?

I did a lot of running around yesterday becasue I had to do last minute thanksgiving shopping. I was walking really fast in the store and also cooked the whle dinner and decorated the Christmas tree. Today my lower back is killing me and the backs of my upper thighs. It hurts my back to sit up straight and even crossing my legs hurts. What can I do to ease this soreness?

Take a hot bath and keep the hot coming.....Go to a great spa and get yourself a massage. Try to just take a break. It sounds like you you just worked harder than normal and have a few slight strains.

If you can't get a massage or go to a spa soak in the tub. And when you are making yourself a prune get out dry yourself off and very slowly do a few lower back stretches. Sit down with your legs together and slowly bend forward trying to touch your chin to your knees. Don't worry if you don't even come close all you want to do in stretch the lower back and hammies. after a couple of time doing this spread your legs and try to touch each knee and then the floor with your chin. And again, don't worry about actually doing this you are just trying to stretch the strain.
