Wild Conspiracy theory -does the Internet keep track of all your user activities?
Say you suddenly become so important that Big Brother now wants to dig your past and know exactly what you wrote in an anonymous chatroom somewhere around 14th August, 2002. So, whoosh all the log details of all the sites you ever visited, everything you ever typed on your computer is sitting in front of someone's console..
Even though you might have changed your ISPs several times.
I read somewhere there's something in Intel processor technology which makes it real possible.
There are several levels of monitoring technology that range from the simple to the highly top-secret comlex--and it ALL is being used by OUR U.S. Government.
Monitoring technology is NOT new; most of it began in the 40s--and OUR government put it to very limited use. There is a way to make your radio and/or TV into a microphone; the technology today has been greatly updated and either device does NOT have to be turned ON, as long as power goes through it. The Feds can turn your cellphone into a microphone AND GPS tracker, too.
And the PC is not beyond their reach. Proven technology, featured on 60 Minutes, showed how the Feds can monitor on AND off-line PCs, using satellite technology. Bloggers beware and be careful what you say online: local and Federal law enforcement agencies CAN locate you easily--because your PC software gives them YOUR ISP address. Oh....and those libarary PCs? Well--those ARE constantly monitored by law enforcement, so don't bother going there.
Can Homeland Security ( greatly assisted by the USAF ), the Feds and local law enforcement monitor EVERYBODY? Of course not!! Unless.....you're using the Internet for illegal activity, like illegal drug sale / distribution, child porno surfing, scamming people out their $$$ ( the Feds are making BIG progress catching people here ) or blogging "messages of concern / interest". You have to gain their attention---and it's NOT that hard to do.
