'The Raggy Dolls' cartoon - was Claude confined to the reject bin purely because he was French?
I never, EVER had this answered to any degree of satisfaction as a child.
Sadsack was overstuffed.
Loosey would fall apart.
Back-to-Front had his head and limbs the wrong war around.
But Claude had no physical defects, nor any speech impediments. His only difference was that he was French and sported a nice line in stereotypical berets and striped jumpers.
Was Claude's fate purely motivated by racial tensions with France?

He was in a box full of his own kind when he fell out and wasn't noticed until it was too late.
