*embroidery*i want to start embroidering things i need to know what i need to do this from scratch & materials?
i am wanting to start of with maybe embroidering on face washers towels any other ideas would be great too *looking at cheapest ways*
Draw or print your design onto a piece of paper. Cut the paper down so that there isn't a ton of excess but leave enough so you can pin it onto your fabric where you want your design. Then, using embroidery floss and a needle, stitch your design onto the washcloth using the paper as your template. (You will stitch through the paper.) When you've gotten your entire design stitched, just rip the paper off. Some will still be stuck under the embroidery floss, but you can just throw it into the washing machine and the rest should just dissolve off.
*Please Note: If you're going to do embroidery for a pillow or other fabric item, you'll need some cotton batting to put behind the material so that all the stitches won't weaken your fabric or cause "bunching."
