Floss Silk
What is thicker than embroidery floss?

I would like something thicker, more like very lightweight yarn...to use on shantung silk. What is usually used for this?

Thanks!

Ribbon floss? Silk embroidery ribbon? Perle cotton? Some of the Kreinik braids and cords? Crewel wool? Needlepoint wools?

Shantung is not likely to "like" the big needle holes. Are you couching instead of the more usual embroidery stitches?
