A few days ago my mother got me a new handmade handbag that has a beautiful embroidered stars on it as well as a moon sewn onto it with another kind of fabric different than the fabric it is actually made of; this fabric is very thin with the light imprint of Flowers in it. Well today a friend of mine was poking it with his pen, and ended up putting a large black spot in the moon... I licked my finger and tried to rub it off quickly... but all that happened was that it lighten ed but turned the area surrounding that area a light blue, but darker than the rest of the moon.
I was thinking about putting it in the washing machine... but I don't think it can be washed in the machine and I really don't want to darken the moon. Please if anyone has any tips on how I should clean this handbag I'd really appreciate it!
Try using a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol and dab at the stain, alcohol is great for getting ink out of tons of things.
