could i have an embedded iud?(mirena) please answer!!!!?
so i got the iud inserted last tuesday,2 days after i tried feeling for the strings and i cant locate them at all ive tried every position.ive had sex since insertion and my bf cant feel them during sex.but the funny thing is when i got it inserted it didnt hurt at all,i had one huge cramp and that was it,
no cramping after
no bleeding
no spotting
its like i never even go it.
but im soo scared because i can find my strings
wouldnt i have symptoms if it is embedded or something?
cause i have not one symptom!
so either my body adjusted to it very well or it gone =P
also i have a 6 week follow up and he said at the appt he was going to trim the strings shorter,i assumed he left them kinda long.
so should i make a appt to see where my strings are?
or wait for the 6 week appt?
After such a short time, the IUD is not imbeded...that generally happens over years, and is quite uncommon.
It's possible it has come out and you didn't realize it.
I suggest making an appt and going to the doctor soon to have it checked out. The doctor can make sure everything is going right, and it could be very bad to be having sex if it's not there anymore.
