What was some concept that helped Islamic Civilization grow?
After the death of Prophet Muhammad. What concept helped the Civilization grow and become so dominant and Empires Like The Ottomans came to be? Please explain and help me understand.
I'm not very educated in this matter but I have a general thought of why..

If Islam is followed correctly, it is very powerful.
This day in age, it's quite hard to see that, one simple explanation would be, islam doesn't give you a national identity. It gives you a religous identity, within which racism cannot exist, you cannot be a muslim and be racist, the two don't work, the same way you cannot be gay and be muslim, the two don't work. This racism thing may not look like a big deal, but always remember when talking about this you are putting yourself back in time.
Therefore a muslim can be living in America and be "white", another can be living in Africa and be "black", another in pakistan and be "brown/asian" - Under Islam, all 3 have the identity "muslim" full stop.
Which is why you may notice that many, muslims are not so patriotic towards there country but uproar when something happens to another muslim half way across the world. For example I was brought up and lived in britan all my life, but when somone tells me join the british army, I won't join until britan is being attacked on home soil, or serious invasion may be occuring. There is more likely hood that I end up in gaza trying to protect muslims against Israeli occupation than fight for the country I live in, and this would be the same for me even if I had grown up in pakistan, saudi arabia or anywhere. It is not because I don't love britan, just the fact I love my faith more, and see those under the banner of my faith as my brothers sisters and so on. So if you can understand the brotherhood you understand islam.
There is a hadith stating that a two muslims who fight each other, if one dies, both end up in hell. The one who done the killing and the one who died aswell, because he wanted to kill the one who killed him.
Ofcorse at times there was more than one ruler/empire. But what had happened was that many "countries" existing today where in fact in those days turned into "one".
With all being "one unit" strength and prosperity had to flourish.
Brotherhood existed, females were looked after correctly, I think the way of thought, and the system just worked much better than any other system at the time.
This is my perspective from Islam itself. Not historically.
