What kind of veil will look best?
I have a beautiful Ivory strapless ballgown with lace appliques and beading and tulle with a chapel train. I am wondering what veil will look the best. I was thinking that if I wore a 1T cathedral or chapel veil that it would look okay over the detail in the back. But I was also thinking about a fingertip veil. I do not want to have lace or scattered crystals or beads. Maybe some beading around the edge. IDK! I have 3 months left! My hair will be in an up do but low and loose with loose waves and curls. The veil would have to be over not under but I think it should not be at the very top of my head. I wish I could pull off the birdcage veil with this dress. The original dress I wanted was a trumpet and stunning! But the darn consultant had me try it on knowing that I could not afford it!
After our first dance If I have a long veil I will take it out in which you will see my pearl and crystal hair comb. Please give me any opinion you have and thank you!
Without a picture of the dress, I could think of two options that would look good.
1.) One that is the length of the train with no detailing in it whatsoever. No piping on the edges, not lace. Just plain and long. It will create a really neat affect. You will have to take it off for the reception. I've known many brides who did that.
2.) For the sassy approach, one that just covers your face to your nose or chin...maybe a hat or a very cute pin holding it in place. That way your pretty dress is not covered up up you still have the classly elegance of the veil. You can have small detailing in this vail, but not much and it would have to match close to what the details look like in your dress.
