How organized are you with planning your Thanksgiving Dinner?
I've done this dinner so many times, I have it down to a science, complete with the shopping list saved on my computer, and a 3-day time line for the shopping, day before prep work, day of, and meal plans for the entire weekend (we have out of town house guests every year). Today I did some online shopping for new table linens, and I'm sketching my table out and planning my floral arrangements.
What about you? Are you ultra organized, or are you an improviser? (I am in awe of those who can improvise and make it all happen ~ I could never do that!)

We really don't have a set way of doing everything, every year is different. The purchase of all side item is usually done a month in advance leaving the Turkey until three days prior to Thanksgiving. This gives the turkey three days in cold water just in time to cook!
The wife will bake the pies and bread the night before, and I make my jello fantasy a great side to turkey with fruit and whipped cream. The turkey will be in the oven about six am, the wife preps the yams with marshmallow topping and puts in oven about an hour before turkey is ready to come out. The corn cobs are started about the same time as the yams.
Time to run to the cellar and get some homemade spice apple and dog rose marmalade for the turkey, we did the canning earlier. If you have never had dog rose with turkey or any wild plate it's a must try it's fantastic!
My wife will break out her best china and silver along with her antique table clothes that she got off EBay, all is in hunter motif. She really can set a pretty table..:@)
I understand your needing some organization with a house full of hungry folks, with a crowd that's the ony way to fix Thanksgiving and make it a wonderful experience..:@)
