The song was writen by Aleksandar Sarievski and performed by him! Maybe it was based on Karavelov's text, but for further informations, you should contact the family of A.Sarievski!

If the song was really bulgarian, as "The Mad Greek" said, why everybody sing the macedonian "version"!? Look around, in Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia you will find only "Zajdi zajdi jasno sonce" not " Zajdi, zajdi jasno slănce "!!!
But what is more strange is that even in Bulgaria, where supposedly was born "Zajdi zajdi jasno sonce", everybody sings, again, the macedonian version!!! Why is that!? Don't that have thier own version, the original one???
