?regardiing disney characters made on blankets and sold on ebay?
I am making blanekts and would like to sell them on ebay. In the process I found ppl selling blankets on there made by them with disney characters embroidered and selling them in their store. Is that even legal. I thought it was a law to not reproduce any that has copyright. Can u do this? Are there just regualtions to it? What about other copyrightt pics. Thanks to everyone that responds to this.
I started out embroidering with the brother Disney emb. machine. and it is illegal to use the designs on anything you sell. It is even printed in the manual I have for the machine...I made bibs and bags etc.using the design but only for gifts for my family and friends.....when the Disney design sews out it even sews out the little copyright symbol next to the word Disney ....People who digitize designs are doing it freehand thus making it legal to sell the embroidery work...they can't use the Disney logo that appears on authentic Disney characters which would also make it illegal.
