I have a 1948 ironrite mangle. where can i find a free pricing guide online?
I am the second owner of this thing.For those of you that dont know what an ironrite mangle is heres a short run down, it's an ironing machine mounted sort of like a barbeque. The lid opens up and you fold out 2 side tables, a front table and a "lip" to rest the clothes as you feed it into the machine. It has a huge roller covered in muslin cloth. I have found very little information online an absolutely no pricing guide whatsoever.
You can find pricing info. on ebay. It all depends on the condition and model of the ironrite. For example the model 89 is the most common, the model 95 the most disireable. I have seen a price range from $40 US to $250 US. Agreat resource is Jitterbuzz.com They have tons of info on the ironrite as well as old "training film" that shows how to iron the ironrite way! I LOVE my ironrite.... There is nothing like sleeping on ironed sheets!!
