I want to paint an accent wall in my living room its about 16'', i really like metallic paint but im finding it hard to find the colour i want, Homebase is very limited and B&Q doesnt have the green i want. Im looking for a sort of sage or gold/green Any ideas? The other option im looking at is suede effect paint, it looks difficult to get right but has a much wider range of colours. What do you think?
I like metallic paint too and tried it a few years ago. It consisted of two pots that were applied in different ways and even though it was undertaken by a professional, it looked simply dreadful - cheap and patchy! We ended up repainting it virtually straight away. If you favour the metallic look, why not try wallpaper - there are lots of patterns around at the moment that have large, metallic accents within them which look very classy and expensive.
