Possible employer. Is Dun and Bradstreet best place to buy info on them to see what they tell me is true?
They tell me they have sales of $15 milion a year. I need to know if that is true and if they pay their bills on time.
Unfortunately D&B is not a reliable indicator of creditworthiness nor of sales. They only report from their members reports which is not necessarily indicative of actual circumstances with regard to credit worthiness. As to sales volume that is provided by the company itself and can be completely erroneous. This applies to non public traded and smaller companies. Larger companies tend to have more reliable ratings.
Experian, ClientChecker and Equifax also provide credit info on corporations. However they like D&B only provide to their members.
