How do we know that there were volcanoes here 36 million years ago?
We have been growing Gascade-arc volcanoes here for some 36 million years. Given a volcanoes only last for a million or so years at best ,how do we know that there were volcanoes here 36 million years ago?
Radiometric Dating.
This gives the age in millions of years, for a particular specimen of rock.
For the other people. Carbon Dating, can only work up to about 50-60,000 years ago.....
