Should I leave a seam allowance for crazy quilt blocks.?
I don't know if I want to join the squares on a lattice or just join them together without the lattice. How much seam allowance shoud I have on a finished block. I think the seams would be too thick if I didn't have any seam allowance at all.
My Mom was a quilter (Hobby) and she mostly left 1/4" for seams and about the same for appliques to be folded under and ironed. But, she was very good at what she did. (She helped make some of the Santa costumes for Macy's NY). I'm sure she would have left more if it was a fabric with a looser weave.
