Rare Large
My rather large 1 yr old gold fish has his mouth stuck open. I understand this is not all that rare.?

I understand this condition is not all that rare, I am still looking for other thoughts and answers for this poor fish. He is 1 year old and is larger than my hand (adult male 57 yrs old) I don't see anything in the mouth. I could slide my little finger in to give a better size comparison. It has been several weeks now and don't think it is going to correct itself.I am about to net him and try closing it myself unless I can get some other ideas. I don't know how he is eating if at all. He used to jump and hit the hood which is probably what has caused this dislocation or break. Any Ideas??

He's breathing? Maybe he's just f*cking bored and keeping his mouth open is entertaining, cause it also makes you look at him more. Being a fish is pretty dull, you know.

Close it and see if he giggles.
