Rare Statue
I think i have a rare coin?

I found a heavy coin with "world trade center" on the top and "New " on one side and "york" on the other with the twin towers in the middle. and on the opposite side in the very middle it has the the statue of liberty on it and on the top it says that and on the bottom it says "U.S.A." with a stange date engraved on the bottom "1.3.88"

What you have is a medal not a coin as it was not issued by the US Mint. There were many different medals created after the attack on 9-11. Most were just spurious attempts to appeal to peoples emotions and make the issuer rich with very little precious metal in the medals themselves.

I have no problem with someone trying to honor the event, I just wish they were straight up and up front about what the medals were made of and the fact that this was just a money making deal for them.

Odds are it is not made of any precious metal and I think the numbers on the reverse may some kind of registration number. Like it was number 1388 out of say 20,000 made.

You might try doing a search on ebay to see if you can find anything like it there.
