Why do Spanish and Italians look different to other white Europeans?
like Antonio Banderas & Penelope Cruz and Ray Romano look different to other europeans and also greeks look different compare to british and german and other european white countries.
Many Italians have Greek, Spaniard, and Arab ancestry. That would explain their olive-skinned complexion. Not to mention Mediterranean.
Spain also is very diverse. They had Arabic and the Moors (blacks) who invaded them so many Spaniards have African ancestry even if remote. People think white is just one single group but in reality there is much more than that. There are the Caucasians (which Spaniards and Italians are), the Nordic (Swedes with blue eyes and blonde hair), the Anglos, Celts, and the Germanic.
But don't think ALL Italians and Spaniards are olive skinned with dark features. I've met some who are of Italian descent and have blue eyes and blonde hair. This is because Italians also have Germanic ancestry. My Italian teacher said that the Norther you go in Italy the more blonde Italians you find. The more South you go, you would find darker Italians.
Btw, some Irish and English can also have dark features. Colin Farell is Irish and he has olive skin with dark hair. I think in every race, country, and culture you would find diversity. No group is homogeneous.
