Sare Fabric
Kennel for puppy?

I am getting a puppy in 2 weeks. I have got a kennel like box that is made of a kind of camping fabric rather than a cage. Now I am using this kennel as a bed for the puppy so she feels she has somewhere safe to go. Now obviously the puppy is only going to be 8 weeks when I get her so she will not be fully toilet trained. I have got a small bed to go in the kennel and she will be in the sare room at night. This is because we have 2 cats and need to introduce them gradually. Now do I keep the kennel door open so she can go in and out as she pleases or should I leave the door shut. Now obviously a puppy can not hold for the toiet all night so I am planning on puuting those pads down in the kennel for when she needs the toilet. To be honest I have read that much I am soo confused on what I should and should not be doing with this kennel. Can anyone help? Thanks

keep the kennel door closed. this will contain the mess for you as well as teach her to potty on the pads. a plastic or metal crate would be better than a fiber one as well. make sure that the puppy likes going into the crate by giving her a special treat for going in or feeding her in there or giving her a toy.
