Rosetta Stone for Japanese ?
Ok I just bought rosetta stone level 1 for Japanese. Right away (lesson 1) its teaching me sentences or phrases like 'otokonoko no ue ni aru booru'. I get that booru means ball but for the small words like ue and aru I have no clue! Is this normal because it seems like it doesn't teach you numbers or simple greetings. It just jumps to the hard stuff. It does even tell you what that sentence means in english it just shows a boy under a ball. Help!!!
'otokonoko=boy
ue =on or upper side
'otokonoko no ue = on the boy
aru=There be--
booru=ball.
There is a ball on the boy.
