How much power does it take to turn on...?

My amplifier?
I found a question on here before about it, but I cant find it now.
I'm buying a AC/DC Inverter...or converter? for my Subwoofers to power inside while I get a new car.
My amp is a 1800W Mono Block (Class D) Kenwood, for my two MA audio subs. ( I know, not the greatest quality, but they were a good deal, for box, amp, 2 15" subs for $300 in my opinion).

So is there a Fromula to use for my amp to find out how big of a Inverter I need to buy?

I'm planning on going to Yipes Stripes because they seem to have them their, but they never have the answer to my questions there.

Also, If I give the power to my Amplifier, will it know to turn on? Or should I have to buy a remote switch of some sort?

You are going to need a very large inverter anything will turn it on but hooking up speakers to it is another story. That thing pulls a lot of amps so you'll need something that puts out a lot of amps. as for turning it on just loop a wire with a switch on it from twelve volt to remote inputs on the amp.
