I have 6 panels in tapestry, early 1900's 3 of hunting scenes 3 of woman and man in park 1700's dress European?
How do I know the age, origin and value, of these pieces? How do I know if it was machine or hand made? It was purchased by my husband in Switzerland 25 years ago at an estate sale. The panels are about 25" X 55" We have had them sitting in our closet for too long and would like to do something with them.
Bring them to the antiques road show, they'll be able to tell you how much it's worth.
Or look up a fine arts tapestry dealer in your area, and tell them you want your pieces appraised. They'll be able to answer all of your questions.
