Can't remember what movie this is?
All I can remember is near the end. I think it was like a boy pulling a mermaid out of a cave or something, trying to get her into the ocean. He was pulling her on a big tapestry/rug type thing that ended up having a bunch of expensive jewels sewn into it. Thats all I remember.... sound familiar to anyone?
Well yeah, dumbass, I was 6 when I watched it, of course it's lame.
Magic Island (1995)
IMDb synopsis:
Jack Carlisle (Zachery Ty Bryan) is a disillusioned 13-year-old. His mother is always away at work since his father left, so he decides to run away, believing that she won't miss him. As he is ready to leave, his nanny convinces him to read a book: "Magic Island", a pirate story. As he reads, he is drawn into that world, where he has numerous adventures with Prince Morgan (Edward Kerr), while fleeing the evil Blackbeard the Pirate (Andrew Divoff). He is saved by the beautiful mermaid Lily (Jessie-Ann Friend), with whom he falls in love. Also in the cast are Ja'net Dubois, Abraham Benrubi, French Stewart and Isaac Hayes (voice).
