Autumn rearranged the comforter
early this morning,
before the world flamed again...
weaving cold tween my toes.
Autumn hunter spiders webbed
the woods with tree-to-tree
tapestries, catching jewels
of black-streaked oranges.
Autumn changed my robe
from polyester to velvet,
bare feet to socks,
coffee to morning ceremony.
Autumn blew out the flame
on the gas water heater,
and the 3a.m. ghost said
'move'...I'm passing this
