Anyone know how to make new tea-towels more absorbent?
I buy very cheap tea-towels and they are pretty much useless. They just move the water around on the dishes. It'd be good if my clothes were that hydrophobic, I could dispense with my umbrella.
Is there some way to treat them so they start absorbing water?
don't use fabric softener on them! Give them a good wash before first use. And don't even dry them in a load with clothes that have had fabric softener used on them.
