Yes as my nan and mum did not waste a thing, as they would use all sorts of things to make into other things, like old towels back then became dusters, even floor cloths even cut then into face cloths, old sheets if they were large ones could be turned into pillow cases, and when the made steam puddings they would use old clean tea towers to over the top of them while they were in the pan steaming, ( If you understand what i mean) also i have done certain things in my time to help with the household expense's, there are a lot of things that can be recycled into other household uses if we put our minds to it but far more than i can mention.
