Textile Artwork
is art/textiles GCSE hard? 10 points for best answer! :) ?

ok, so I'm choosing my Y9 options, and in the 4th box there's nothing I want to do, I've already chosen
*History
*Spanish Dual
*Drama

But in the forth box, our options to choose from are..
*Geography
*Textiles
*Art
*Critical Thinking (AS Level)
*Food Tech

I definitely don't want to do food tech, geography or critical thinking so that just leaves art and textiles :/
I'm OK at art, my National Indicator is a 6H but my artwork is very average. My mum and dad are both extremely arty, my mum and dad both got A* in Art for GCSE and are really good at drawing. I've tried asking them to teach me how to be better but I don't have much natural talent :L I AM a creative person, but I've heard you have to get something crazy like 98% in art to get an A*?! I am a very hard worker, so if I worked hard and tried my best, could I get like a B or something? And what are your opinions on textiles GCSE?

I don't do textiles but i do art.

I really enjoy art although in year 9 i didn't really enjoy it at all.
Art can be really stressy and yeah my art teacher did say you have to get a crazy percent to even be considered for an A* but it doesn't matter because it is quite fun and you learn lots of new skill and develop creativity.
Another thing is you really don't need to be able to draw, i have gone a full year without having to draw anything free hand, i have done sketches but i have used a light box to help and shaded from there, i was wary about taking art because of my terrible free hand drawing but it hasn't been a problem.

Art may also benefit more than textiles because it is a really valued qualification.

I'm not sure about textiles but im sure it would be good as well

Good luck with everything!
