I would like to fit a punching bag, 15 kg to the ceiling. ?
We live in an old Victorian Terraced house. Not sure about the sturdiness of the construction, but what should I look out for. Where should I put it. Will the ceiling come down? Is it at all possible? What about when I use it. Will the 'swinging' of the bag influence it in a bad way? (not much faith in the construction of the house, although I'm not a professional builder.)

You must find one of the ceiling joists. This should be a pretty substantial wooden beam. Use a bolt through the beam to hold the bag up. The beam MUST be in good physical condition. No wet or dry rot.
If the bag is in the centre of the room then there will be maximum flexibility of the ceiling. Try going as close to the beam support wall as possible. The will minimise the flex.
