Which tastes better to you? (french food)?
boeuf bourguignon or coq au vin?
i've never had any, and am going to a french restaurant with my school. i just decided to take a little poll to come up with a decision on what to order. lol. thanks
Actually, I'd have the Sole Meuniere, especially at this time of year!
Both dishes are actually pretty much the same thing, but to have a true coq au vin, it has to be made with an old rooster and slow cooked for a very long time, and I'm doubting whether any restaurant you'll be going to on a school trip will be doing that when they can just slam a chicken in a pot! So if you want to take your best shot at authenticity, go for the boeuf bourguignon. And for what it's worth, it's great to hear someone of your age take an interest in developing her taste buds and knowledge of good food. Good for you, and bon appetit!
