i am having a racing themed wedding any ideas???
anything at all keep in mind i am having an oct wedding the gromms will be wearing red vests with checkered hancker cheifs out of the pocket and the groom wearing a checkered vest with a red hankie out of pocket, with the bridesmaids wearing red dresses. Any ideas at all would be appreciated.
I love the idea of the aisle being done up like the track, that would be a great touch.
And the checkered flags for everyone is a great idea too, but I would give those to your guests at the reception so they can cheer for you guys when you arrive, when you kiss, when you dance, etc.

Maybe the party favours could be little trophies with your names and wedding date engraved into it. Or you could have small bottles of champagne with your names and date on the label... or both.
Maybe your first dance song could be "Cruisin". Or your wedding party song could be Route 66, Cars, Born To Be Wild, Life Is A Highway, Greased Lightening, Little Deuce Coup, Little Red Corvette, Low Rider... Oh man, the possibilities are endless!

You could have the MC announce the bridal party like racing winners. Depending on how many couples you'll have in the wedding party he would announce you from "last place" up to first... So for your maid-of-honour and best man, he would say "Coming in at second place, we have Jane Doe and John Smith." Then to annouce the bride and groom he would say, "Coming in first place, the clear winners of today, the bride and groom Jennifer and Jack Jones!" So each couple has a "rank," if you know what I mean.
