AIO cloth diaper question?
First off let me say I am new to the whole cloth diaper concept. I wanted to use them from the get go, but my baby was born 3 months early and spent 66 days in NICU. She is now pushing 9 months and once again I am looking into cloth. I want to use AIO (all in ones), because I do not have the want nor the time to mess with wraps, folds, and covers. Thats just too much work so please do not suggest I use them.
My question is what is the best type of AIO diapers to use? I had thought about using Kushies, but have recently read they leak and its hard to get the odor out. Has anyone had any experience with them? I need a diaper that will be durable enough to put in the dryer. I do not have a way to hang them outside in the sun. Also how do AIO's hold up at night? My daughter already leaks through sposies at night. So I'm kinda scared to use cloth.
Please any advise would be appreciated! With the cost of EVERYTHING going up...I really want to make this work!!
The one complaint I've heard about AIO is that they take forever to dry. I use pockets and like them. I just stuff them when they come out of the dryer so all I need to do is grab one and it's all ready to go. If you don't want to stuff, then maybe look into some AI2.
For night time I use the Bumgenius OS pockets (2.0 or 3.0) and just use the newborn insert that comes with the 3.0 plus the regular insert. No leaks. I also use Fuzzi Bunz with a one-size Whamies insert and 95% of the time don't have any leaking issues. The few times it has leaked I think it was due to not having it on tight enough.
